Scam Notice
We have been informed that individuals have been solicited by email, mail or from a website that appear to be from "A Closer Look" inviting them to become a mystery
shopper.
The person receives a package containing a form and a cashier's check which is requested to be deposited into the bank and the funds wire transferred for evaluation
of the customer service process. Please be assured that we do NOT send checks prior to successful shop completion and are NOT participating in any wire transfer
evaluations.
If you know of anyone who has received this, their safest course of action is NOT to respond to the solicitation nor to call the numbers listed in it. If they receive
any items in the mail, they should send the entire package to our offices, including the original envelope and make a copy to present to the nearest law enforcement
agency, State's Attorney's Office and to the United States Postal Service. If they received an email solicitation, please have them save the email as a file and
send as an attachment to info@a-closer-look.com and include if they responded to a solicitation on a website.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of this scam, please visit
www.ftc.gov or call (877) 382-4357. Please
also visit
