David A. McAleese, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
David co-founded A Closer Look after building a 20+ year career working in several customer service related industries. He has held senior management positions
with Pillsbury, JC Penney and Ruby Tuesdays.
A self-motivated entrepreneur, David began his career in the hospitality industry while attending Waubonsee College in suburban Chicago. With his depth of knowledge
regarding service operations and consumer management, David is an industry advocate and spokesperson. He is an active member of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association
(MSPA) and Marketing Research Association (MRA). David is a volunteer for the “Everybody Wins” program, and he and his wife, Page, are both active with the St.
Vincent DePaul Society in metro Atlanta.
Chuck Paul, President and Co-Founder
Before co-founding A Closer Look with David in 1994, Chuck spent over 30 years working in the hospitality industry. As an operations expert, Chuck worked for several
top restaurant and hotel chains, including Steak and Ale, Houlihan’s, Grady’s American Grille and Holiday Inn. Chuck is passionate about the value of mystery shopping
and currently serves on the board of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA).
Chuck is president of his local business association and very active in the community. Inspired by a fraternity brother who is successfully living with MS, Chuck
has served as a team leader for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s annual Atlanta Walk for the past 17 years. He earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University
before beginning his career in hospitality.
George A. Petrick, Executive Vice President and CIO
George first joined forces with A Closer Look in 1995 when, as founder and owner of Response Services Corporation, a software development company, he designed and
developed a customized software system to track ACL’s mystery shopping information. In mid-2000, George led the company’s transition to a web-based system, through
which clients have full access to reports via the Internet. In 2003, George joined ACL full time. He and his crack IT team continue to design and implement leading-edge
technology solutions through state-of-the-art electronic reporting and analysis systems.
During his 28-year career, George has provided information technology solutions for numerous Health & Wellness, Hospitality, and Service-related clients, including:
The Home Depot, Deloitte & Touche, The Georgia Dental Association, Jameson Inns & Innovative Restaurant Concepts. George graduated from the University of North
Florida with a degree in Psychology.
